Jeep Lift and Axles

I’ve been accumulating parts for about a year and a half. The 2009 upgrade included: 4″ ProComp Lift Springs, Greasable Boomarang Shackles, a SYE and Tom Woods driveshaft, 4.10 gears, new Dana 30 front axle, and 1999 Ford 8.8 rear axle with Aussie Locker.

Dana 30:

Sample weld from the spring perches and shock mounts on the 8.8 – getting better!

8.8 and drive shaft tacked in to place and pinion angle set:

Finally – 6 weekends of work later!!! All muddied up after the shakedown run:

We made it back to Groton CT this month, to a private tract of land that will soon be a housing development. Time is short, so we wheeled it hard.
